ESET will concentrate on defining core bodies of knowledge for numerous disciplines practiced by the live entertainment technician from basic stagecraft including safety, terminology and professional protocols, to lighting, rigging, and audio, etc. Each discipline and its components act as building blocks. Every block, or discipline successfully completed adds to the overall structure that will become a career. The initial focus of the program are those disciplines that directly affect the health and safety of performers, crews and audiences. Fundamental Knowledge is the first in the series currently being developed.
