Volunteers Needed

eSET has brought together industry experts to work on defining and designing the program and its materials. As the work progresses, the need for additional knowledgeable participants grows. We need committed, dedicated industry professionals to join us in our continuing efforts. Committee volunteers meet four times per year in person as well as via phone and web conferences. Two of those meetings occur in conjunction with the LDI and USITT shows. Work is divided amongst committee members who are responsible for completing assignments between meetings.

The Essential Skills Committee is in need of volunteers interested in working on compiling the bodies of knowledge in the various disciplines of live entertainment technology. The Co-Chairs of the committee are Jim Moody (The Theatre Academy at Los Angeles City College) and Bill Price (Barbizon).

If you've been looking for a way to give back to the industry in which you make your living, if you are concerned about the quality of new entrants into the workforce, or if you'd like the opportunity to network with industry leaders, please consider joining the Essential Skills Committee.
